"Big Brother " was a reality TV series shown in the Czech Republic. It is also known as "Velký Bratr". The Czech version is based on the popular "Big Brother international television series" produced by Endemol where a number of contestants, usually 14 or more, live in an isolated house for anywhere up to several months. Housemates are at all times under the control of Big Brother, a rule enforcing authority figure who monitors behaviour of the housemates, set tasks and punishments and provides the only link to the outside world for the contestants.Since there was an almost identical copy to Big Brother aired on czech television names "VyVolení" at the very same time the show never lived up to the expectations and was delayed after one season.

In the beginning there were 13 original housemates. Later, 4 new housemates entered the house.

The show caused controversity when contestant Filip Trojovský was recognized as gay porn star Tommy Hansen. Being a model also, Trjovský starred in a TV spot for a german milk-company before, a german tabloid revealed the "scandal" and the spot was immediatly taken off the air. When his past became known, Trojovský became the first person to be evicted by a landside which proved to result in a huge drop of ratings. As a result he was voted back in the house and the voting was changed from evict to save contestants. In the end, Trojovský, who started a heterosexual relationship in the house, made it to the 2nd runner-up position. fnb|1 The housemates had to choose to evict either Klára or her sister Eva. They chose to evict Klára.

fnb|2 Šárka was up for eviction as she failed her secret mission which was to keep bedrooms with 3 girls and 3 boys each until Saturday. Filip was up for eviction as punishment for discussing nominations and also attempting to hide conversations from Big Brother.
