Huron University USA in London

Huron University USA in London, also referred to as Huron University, is a private university located on Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London. The school offers American-style higher education. The university has over 350 students from more than 50 countries and offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Central London.

Originally founded in 1989 as a branch of Huron University, an American university based in Huron, South Dakota that was founded in 1883. The school became independent and unaffiliated with the American school in the 1990s (the American school closed in 2005). The campus moved to its current location in Bloomsbury in January 2004. The old Huron logo, used until June 2005, can be seen on the right.

Huron University USA in London merged with Hult International Business School of Boston, USA in December 2007, creating a global university, with campuses in Boston, London, Dubai and Shanghai. Hult International Business School, and now Huron, are part of the EF Education First group. With over 40 years of experience and with schools and offices in more than 50 countries, EF is one of the largest education organisations worldwide.

Huron University London is accredited in both the USA, through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), in association with Hult International Business School in Boston, Massachussetts and in the UK with the British Accreditation Council (BAC). Its partnership with Hult International Business School gives students access to a large global network.

The primary undergraduate degrees offered are:
*Business
*International Relations
*Humanities
*Communications

Joint Majors programs are also available for undergraduates and a Masters degree (MA) in International Relations is offered. Students may apply for scholarships on a merit or need-based system. Applicants with IB, AP, A levels and some other academic qualifications are entitled to advanced placement on degree programs.

With a diverse and international student body representing over 60 nationalities, and a dedicated internship program, the university aims to focus on a globally-minded curriculum. A regular calendar of events, including speaker series, seminars and alumni events aim to ensure that students are linked with an international network of expertise. Small classes of 20 students or less ensure a personalised service from faculty and staff. Students at Huron benefit from access to the student union services at the University of London and the libraries at Senate House and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). The local area offers many cultural attractions, including The British Museum, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), and the famous shopping streets of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street are within close range.

The university's private Halls of Residence is located a five-minute walk away, at nearby Byng Place, Bloomsbury.
