- Milo (bishop)
-
Milo (d. 762 or 763) was Archbishop of Reims and Trier since c. 722,[1] as his uncle and his father, Saint Liutwin, had been before him.
When Charles Martel drove Rigobert from Reims, he replaced him with a warrior clerk named Milo. While bishop, Milo discharged a mission against the Vascones. He accumulated much of the riches of his dioceses. He later received Trier as well.
He resisted being replaced by Abel for a long time before he was finally deposed. He died, killed by a wild boar, in 753 or 758.[citation needed]
