Michael Stahlman

Michael Stahlman (born August 16 1979 in Watseka, Illinois) is a former rower. He was both a successful rowing coach at Washington State University and before that a rower at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Stahlman moved from Illinois to Wisconsin when he was two weeks old and grew up in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Stahlman started his storied rowing career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a two time IRA (Intercollegiate Rowing Association) national champion - this is considered the national championships for collegiate men.

As a member of the class of 2002, his class became only the third in the history of the IRA to win the Ten Eyck Trophy four years in a row. The Ten Eyck is awarded yearly to the team that scores the most points at the championship.

Stahlman is currently a semi retired school bus driver in Longmont, Colorado.
