- Avrohom Elyashiv
Rabbi Avrohom Elyashiv was the Av Beis Din of the city of
Gomel and father of RabbiYosef Sholom Eliashiv . Studying under the Chofetz Chaim in Radin, and later inDvinsk , he was the son-in-law of the famous Kabbalist RabbiShlomo Eliyashiv , author of the "Leshem Shevo V’Achlamah".In 1924, he immigrated to
Jerusalem along with his illustrious father-in-law, his wife Chaya Musha, and young son Yosef Shalom. There, he founded and led theyeshiva "Tiferes Bochurim", where his son Rabbi Yosef Sholom still lectures.He authored a
Sefer by the name of "Bikkurei Avrohom" and was givenSemicha by RabbiAvraham Isaac Kook .Other details
*Rabbi Elyashiv's original family name remains unknown, since he adopted his wife’s family name to facilitate his immigration.
