Monty Bane has been a professional actor for over 30 years. He has appeared in 50 episodes of primetime TV and 20 feature films. His great love is the theatre. He starred in 20 theatre productions in Los Angeles, New York and in his hometown of New Orleans. He attributes much of his cuccess to studying with great teachrs. He worked in New York with at the HB Studio under the guidance of Katherine Sergava, Anna Sokolow and the great Uta Hagen. He studied with Milton Katselas at the famed Beverly Hills Playhouse for over 20 years. Mr. Katselas is not only a master teacher but also an acclaimed artist with exhibitions in the United States and Japan.

Mr. Bane subscribes to the Jack Nicholson theory of acting, "If you're not working, don't miss many acting classes." Bane feels that not enough attention is paid to the work and development of the actor's craft in the business of Hollywood, California. All the AcademyAward winners thank their agent, manager, mother, girlfriend, etc., but never their teachers who helped them to develop their talent.

Monty just finished a three month run of Rick Pagano's play "Hanging Alice" at the Elephant Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The play received rave reviews in the Los Angeles Times and Backstange West. Monty feels that Pagano's skills are the result of working as a casting director for many years.
