Black Child is an American singer and rapper.

Jam Master Jay Records signed Black Child in 1993, while Jay was still interested in Child's lyrical style and ability. Black remained on the label for two years before being imprisoned for five years. In the first few hours out of jail, Black Child contacted Ja Rule, who gave him the opportunity to prove himself by reciting his lyrics to Irv Gotti.

Black was first heard on Ja Rule's "Holla Holla" remix featuring Caddillac Tah, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, Memphis Bleek, and Vita. He also appeared on "Venni Vetti Vecci", Ja Rule's first album. Black Child toured with Ja Rule, and confirmed his position in 1999 in the group Murderers, teaming with Caddillac Tah, Vita, O1, and Ja Rule whose first feature was on the "Funk Flex & Big Kap live at the Tunnel Pt. 1". He has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Sticky Fingaz, Hussein Fatal, JoJo Pellegrino, Boo & Gotti, Benzino, Jayo Felony, Tragedy Khadafi, and others.

In March 2000, outside the Hit Factory studio on West 54th Street, future multi-platinum rapper 50 Cent had an altercation with Ja Rule, Black Child and others from Murder Inc. This was the cause of 50 Cent and G-Unit's bitter feud with Murder Inc. Black Child stabbed 50 cent during a fight between the two entourages. Before the incident, Black Child had collaborated with 50 Cent on a track called "gunrunner" which is featured on 50 Cent's unreleased album Power of the Dollar.
