Leslie Cagan is the national coordinator of

In 2002, Ms. Cagan was among the founders of
United for Peace and Justice , a coalition of more than 1,300 international and U.S.-based organizations opposed to what they describe as "our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building."Ms. Cagan has organized and spoken at many anti-war rallies, and has been the national coordinator of UFPJ since its inception. She is also involved with defending public higher education in New York, as well as protecting rights of women and the gay, lesbian and transgender community.
