Wes Gardner

Wes Gardner

Wesley Brian (Wes) Gardner (born April 29, 1961, in Benton, Arkansas) is a former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the New York Mets (1984-1985), Boston Red Sox (1986-1990), San Diego Padres (1991 ["start"] ) and Kansas City Royals (1991 ["end"] ). He batted and threw right handed.

Career

In an eight-season career, Gardner posted a 18-30 record with a 4.90 ERA and 14 saves in 189 games pitched.

*1988: eight wins, 106 strikeouts, 3.50 ERA, 149.0 innings – all career-highs
