Erella Ganon

Erella Vent Ganon is a Canadian broadcaster, writer and artist. She was previously known as Erella Vent (pronounced "irrelevent"), and sometimes as simply Erella.

Ganon created Droplit Books in 1986, a publisher dedicated to miniature artist books and postcards, as a means showcasing the work of local artists. One of her own publications was a book series about pregnancy called "The Adventures of My Inner Child". Her illustrated journals have been compiled in two PowerPoint presentation entitled "B92More" and "Moremore". As a lecturer, she teaches beneficial journal keeping techniques at several art institutions including the Ontario College of Art and Design and for Corrections Canada.

She designed the graphics for Canadian alternative country band Lost Dakotas and their three CD releases, and one cassette-only release.

Ganon has worked as a writer for several Gemini Award nominated television series, including "Heartbeats" and "WTN's Mothers and Daughters", and has written documentary features for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She has also worked as an on-air announcer for CFNY-FM. Ganon has worked as a music reviewer for several radio stations and for "NOW" Magazine, as well as many others.

As a community member, she helped start Casey House AIDS Hospice, was an organizer for Molly Johnson's Kumbaya Festival, and the wildly successful Word on the Street. She is very active in the Dufferin Grove Park community as well as numerous other organizations.

She is currently working on a new graphic novel. She contributes to Zoilus.com, the blog created by "The Globe and Mail"'s Carl Wilson.
