"The Second Time Around" is a 1961 album by Etta James, and the second LP release for the blues singer. Released through Chess Records, the album consisted primarily of pop, blues, and jazz standards. The album's slick soul and R&B production would be lessened in later albums. Though overshadowed by James' breakthrough album "At Last!", released the same year, the record featured the hits "Fool That I Am" and "Don't Cry, Baby," as well as a number of songs which garnered airplay from Top 40 radio.

Along with James, several other artists have recorded versions (Including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Nancy Wilson). In Brian Sings and Swings - an episode of the FOX animated sitcom, Family Guy - Frank Sinatra Jr. performs an up-beat version with Brian Griffin (Voiced by the show's creator and star, Seth MacFarlane).
