Geoff Beale (born ca. 1967) is a British actor and director. He is an artistic director with the
London -basedOphaboom Theatre Company , which he co-founded withHoward Gayton in 1991.Beale trained intensively with
Desmond Jones ,Antonio Fava , andCarlo Boso , all of whom specialise in physical theatre and commedia. He has studied withComplicite ,Monika Pagneau ,Philippe Gaulier andTheatre de Soleil , and has performed for a number of companies, includingKazzum . He also acted asPatrick Stewart 's flying double in "A Christmas Carol ".The Ophaboom Theatre Company specialises in creating and performing contemporary works in the Italian
Commedia dell'Arte tradition. Working in a variety of languages, the company has traveled and performed all acrossEurope , as well as inKorea ,Canada , and theUnited States ; and was featured in the book "Commedia dell'Arte: A Handbook for Troupes" byJohn Rudlin andOlly Crick .Notability Reference
