Robert A. "Bob" DuPuy (born c. 1947) is a former
attorney and the current President and Chief Operating Officer ofMajor League Baseball . He took both titles onMarch 7 ,2002 . Prior to joining Major League Baseball, he was a partner withFoley & Lardner , a large Milwaukee-based law firm.Bob DuPuy received an A.B. from
Dartmouth College in 1968, and a J.D. fromCornell Law School in 1973. At Cornell, he was the editor-in-chief of theCornell Law Review . After attending Dartmouth, he served in Vietnam with the 504th Military Police Battalion with the US Army.DuPuy grew up in Branford, Conn. Prior to attending Dartmouth, DuPuy graduated from Notre Dame High School of West Haven in 1964. On November 3, 2007, at Yale Commons in New Haven, Ct, he was bestowed with honor of becoming a Knight of Honor, the highest award the school gives out to friends and graduates of Notre Dame High School.
