Chicago ,Illinois , the son of Agnes B. (née Samaras), a first-generationAlbanian American who worked as a cashier, and Adam Belushi, anAlbania n immigrant and restaurant operator who left his native village, Qytezë, in 1934 at the age of fifteen.
