Overview

The topography of Anmado forms the shape of saddle. In Korean language, Anma means kinds of saddle. It borders with Jeollanbuk do on the northest part of South Jeolla province. Anmado came to be an island because Noryeong mountains of the west submerged. That is, it is a kind of islet but there are large mountains which are lower than sea surface. Transportation is quite inconvenient for even catching fish around another islet such as Nakwol do or Song-i do.
