"MLB 2006" is a baseball video game for the Playstation 2 and PlayStation Portable. It was preceded by "MLB 2005", and succeeded by "". Vladimir Guerrero was featured on the cover of the game. The game takes place in the by|2005 MLB season, still using the tradition of "last year displayed", such as "Madden NFL 2005-06" listed as Madden 2006. However, the "MLB 2005" season ended in 2005. "MLB '06" takes place in 2006, marking the change to a more reasonable naming system.
