*A very tongue-in-cheek article by music magazine "NME" said that The Kooks wrote the song about a friend of theirs that can move by walking on her hands. It is also thought that this song is about Katie Melua, the lead singer's former girlfriend.
*The song has been parodied in the song "The Kooks are Kooky" by Exactly Midnight.
*Thanks to new chart rules in the UK, "She Moves In Her Own Way" re-entered the UK Top 40 singles at position number 39 for the week ending Sunday 7 January, 2007.
