Kaleshwaram is the site of the famous
Shiva temple called "Kaleshwara muktheshwara swamy", in the border of theIndia n states ofAndhra Pradesh andMaharashtra . It is 125 kilometers from the town ofKarimnagar and 115 kilometers fromWarangal . The rivers Godaveri and Pranahita meet there.india-geo-stub}This place is also called Dakshina Triveni Sangamam, as Two Rivers meet here along with 3rd illusionary flow of Antarvaahini. It is said that long time back one Vaishya has performed abhisheka to Kaleshwara Mukteshwara with 100s of milk pots and the milk evolved at the sangamam of Godavari and Pranahita. Hence the name Dakshina Gangotri (other being Allahabad, or Prayaga)
Kaleshwaram has Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam operated Lodging facility, which is available at nominal rates. Kaleshwaram gets huge number of Piligrms during the Karthika Month of Indian Calendar and Maha Shiva Ratri.
Regular bus services from both Warangal and Karimnagar are available provided by APSRTC.
