James L. Haley is an American
author andhistorian who has written several books onTexas history. Haley grew up inFort Worth, Texas , and graduated from theUniversity of Texas at Arlington with a degree inpolitical science . He attended theUniversity of Texas School of Law before becoming a full-time writer. Haley's work has garnered many awards, including aSpur Award from theWestern Writers of America .Books
