Tough Cookie

Tough Cookie is a UK based producer of audio and video content for the internet. Tough Cookie was launched in 2004 by Andy Wood and Neill Sullivan and has placed itself at the forefront of the booming online video market, having produced over 300 pieces of content for brands, cross-media broadcasters and record labels.

In music, Tough Cookie has filmed live shows from acts such as Amy Winehouse, Klaxons, Duffy, Editors, Kate Nash, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Feeling, The Fratellis, Dirty Pretty Things, Kanye West and Adele.

In live events, Tough Cookie has produced shows such as the Metal Hammer Awards, Ronnie Scotts Awards and the live webcast launch of the Fiat 500 for MSN.

Productions currently airing include the JD Set on Channel 4, BBC 6Music Hub Sessions and Tiscali

On 2nd February 2007 it was announced that Malcolm Gerrie's Whizz Kid Entertainment had bought Tough Cookie. Whizz Kid, which is supported by venture capital funding through Ingenious Media, has bought the company as part of its strategy to build a portfolio new-style music programmes.

Gerrie, formerly chief executive of Initial, said, “Tough Cookie have built up an enviable reputation for delivering cutting edge content and unique online and mobile solutions for an impressive range of clients. All of the programming Whizz Kid Entertainment is developing and producing requires digital applications and this move strengthens our ability to be a one-stop for broadcasters, brands, labels and artists.”
