Saul Rappaport is a
professor ofphysics at theMassachusetts Institute of Technology .Rappaport became Assistant Professor in the MIT Department of Physics in
1969 and became a full Professor in1981 . From1993 to1995 , he was Head of the Astrophysics Division.He received his
A.B. fromTemple University in1963 and hisPh.D. fromMIT in1968 .His main research interest is in binary systems containing collapsed stars—white dwarf s,neutron star s, andblack hole s.In his leisurely time, he enjoys walking his German Shepherd, Bungee.
