"Nepenthes xiphioides" (pronEng|nəˈpɛnθiːz zɪfiːˈɔɪdiːs, from Greek/Latin: "xiphos" = sword, "-oides" = resembling; referring to the long, thin teeth of the inner margin of the peristome) is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to the Indonesian island of Sumatra. There is much confusion surrounding the status of this species as well as "N. gymnamphora" and "N. pectinata".
