soccer team, founded in1994 . The team is a member of theNational Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of theAmerican Soccer Pyramid , and plays in the Midwest Conference against teams from Indianapolis, Lawrence, Madison, Milwaukee and St. Paul. The NPSL team plays under the name Chicago Fire NPSL.The original Raptors were a member of the old
USISL in the early 1990s, and played for seven seasons in the USISL Pro League andPremier Development League , reaching the Conference Playoffs on two occasions before folding at the end of the 2000 season.The new team, which was reformed in 2007, play their home games at a stadium in the city of
Rockford, Illinois . In addition to the NPSL side, the Raptors are a major boy’s soccer club in northern Illinois.The team is not to be confused with the
