Dave Wills

Dave Wills is an American radio sportscaster and currently serves as the play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Rays, which is a position he has held since 2005 along with fellow broadcaster Andy Freed. He is from and for many years worked in Chicago. He was the pre-game and post-game analyst and back-up for John Rooney for the Chicago White Sox radio broadcasts from 1997-2004. He also was the play-by-play announcer for the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) basketball games at the same time. He also coached Oak Lawn High School basketball games. While in Chicago he worked at radio stations WMAQ & WMVP. In Tampa Bay he spends time with former Buc/NFL star Matt O'Dwyer whose cousins worked with Wills in Chicago.

Prior to turning to broadcasting Wills served as the pitching coach/recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, Elmhurst College (IL) in 1989 and as the interim head coach at the University of Chicago in 1990. [http://tampabay.devilrays.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/team/broadcasters.jsp?c_id=tb]
