Taganrog , is a retiredRussia n, flatwater canoeist. He won a total of seven World Championship kayak gold medals between 1990-97.In the 1996 Olympics he won bronze as a member of Russia's K-4 1000m squad and also finished in fourth place in the K2 500m with partner
Oleg Gorobiy . At the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Tishchenko again competed in the K4 1000m, this time placing seventh.He retired from international competition after the 2004 Olympics where he placed ninth with partner
