Pushchino ( _ru. Пу́щино) is a town in
Moscow Oblast ,Russia , situated 120 km south ofMoscow , on the right side of theOka River . As it can be confused with other towns with similar names, it is informally called Pushchino-at-Oka. Population: 19,964 (2002 Census). It is an academic research center focusing onmicrobiology .
