Greysouthen (Pronounced: "Grey-soon") is a small
village between the towns ofWorkington andCockermouth , which are inCumbria , in the North West ofEngland .The village does not have very many services but it does have a village hall which is used as a
Post Office on Monday afternoons. Greysouthen is divided into two by the local residents – "up the went" and "down the went". The "went" is a hill directly in the centre of Greysouthen.Greysouthen also has a
bus service connectingWorkington andCockermouth about ten times a day. This is the 36 bus service which is funded by thecounty council and operated by minor bus companies. Greysouthen has one large playing field and a smallergarden which was made for the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The village used to have a B&B but it was closed down, although there is acaravan park .The village is surrounded by farmland and has a couple of
stream s running through it.
