- Charfield Park
Charfield Park is in the centre of
Charfield , a small village inSouth Gloucestershire . The park is facing the memorial hall and the public toilets. Once a year a the village fair is held in the park, attracting people fromWotton-under-Edge and surrounding villages such asCromhall . The park has two areas commonly used for football andcricket . There has recently been askate park , (idea suggested by Ross Shimman and Mark Tippins) added with the money collected by the village, consisting of a miniramp, tabletop and two gridpoles. There is also a childs play area with a large slide mounted on a mound, swings and a climbing frame. There has been a new addition to the park of a new updated played area. This has been placed where the old play area used to be. The pavilion in the center of the park has also been recently painted. As an attempt to prevent youths loitering by the Memorial Hall (just outside the public toilets) the wall has been replaced with a metal fence. Thus far this has been successful.
