Howard Choi

Howard Choi MD MPH is a Korean-American physiatrist and the principal editor of a popular PM&R handbook, "PM&R Pocketpedia". A companion work, "Pain Medicine Pocketpedia", is currently in the works.

Medical education

After completing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2001, Dr. Choi completed additional training as a clinical fellow in spinal cord injury medicine at VA Boston Healthcare System/Harvard Medical School.

Current position

Among his interests, Dr. Choi is studying application of high technology to improve the mobility and health problems of individuals with spinal cord injury and other major disabilities.
