Laventie is a commune and chief town of a canton in the Pas-de-Calais "département" in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France.

Geography

A small farming and light industrial town, situated some convert|10|mi|km|1 northeast of Béthune and convert|12|mi|km|1 west of Lille, at the junction of the D166, D173 and D174 roads. Famous for its cherries.
