Adelaide T. Crapsey

Adelaide Trowbridge Crapsey (1855-1950) was the wife of American Episcopal priest and social reformer Algernon Sidney Crapsey and mother of American poet Adelaide Crapsey. She was well-known in the Rochester, New York area for organizing aid for widows, young mothers, and children, and founded the Adelaide T. Crapsey Co., which manufactured children's frocks and provided a family-type work environment for its workers.
