- Barry Matthews
Barry Matthews (born c.1945) is the current Chief Executive of the
New Zealand Department of Corrections . He replacedMark G Byers in February 2005.Matthews worked in public sectors of
New Zealand andAustralia for almost four decades. He was in theNew Zealand Police from 1965 to 1999. In 1995, he became the Deputy Commissioner of the New Zealand Police. He was the project manager of theINCIS computer system when it was abandoned in 1999.
