The Catalan Republic, also know Catalan State, is a state claimed by the Catalan independentism as a home of the Catalan people. The Catalan Republic has been proclaimed at least four times:
* In 1641, by Pau Claris.
* In 1873, by Estanislau Figueras as 'Catalan State'.
* In 1931, by Francesc Macià as 'Catalan Republic within Iberian Federation'.
* In 1934, by Lluís Companys as 'Catalan State within Spanish Federal Republic'.
