Angus Lennie (born 18 April 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish actor best known for his film appearances and the Television soap opera "Crossroads".

Early life

He was brought up in Glasgow and attended the Eastbank Secondary School in the city. He then appeared in repertory theatres in various towns in England and Scotland.

Television

He remains best known for his long running role as cook Shughie McFee in the soap opera "Crossroads". His other TV credits include: "The Saint", "Doctor Who" (in the serials "The Ice Warriors" and "Terror of the Zygons"), "The Borderers", "Z Cars", "Rumpole of the Bailey", "Lovejoy", "The Onedin Line", "All Night Long", "Keeping Up Appearances" and "Monarch of the Glen".

Film

His film appearances include: "633 Squadron", "Tunes of Glory", "Oh! What a Lovely War" and a significant role in "The Great Escape" as the diminutive serial escaper Flying Officer Archibald Ives (nicknamed "The Mole").

Stage

He has appeared in many stage productions including A Midsummer Night's Dream and pantomimes.
