Sennen ("Cornish: Sen Senan") is a village and
civil parish , in thePenwith district ofCornwall ,United Kingdom . The parish encompasses the settlements ofTrevescan ,Carn Towan and Sennen as well asLand's End and is bounded by the parishes of St. Just to the north, St. Buryan to the east,St. Levan to the south and by the sea in the west. The parish consists of convert|2284|acre|km2|0 of land, convert|6|acre|m2 of water and 64 acres of foreshore and sits on granite only. The village of Sennen, which is the most westerly on mainlandEngland , is situated approximately eight miles (12.7 km) west ofPenzance along the A30, less than a mile fromLand's End . The village sits around convert|60|ft|m|0|abbr=on. above sea-level oncliff s above a popularsurfing beach calledSennen Cove that overlooks the Atlantic ocean.Local Government
