Michael Adler

Michael Adler

Michael Adler (born September 17, 1963 in Danville, Pennsylvania) is an American lawyer and business executive. On May 16, 2006 he became Chief Financial Officer of the internet travel agency, Expedia.

Education

Adler attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he studied economics, followed by the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he received his Juris Doctor in 1988.

Career

After graduation, Adler practiced law with Feldman, Waldman & Kline in San Francisco, followed by positions at Cheyenne Software and Schoolsports, Inc. (where he served as general counsel). After leaving, he was subsequently hired as a vice president of USA Interactive which soon became InterActiveCorp where he held the post of Senior Vice President of Finance Analysis. IAC spun off Expedia in 2005, where Adler replaced Mark Gunning as CFO.

Family life

On August 27, 1988, he married Michelle Goldberg, now his wife of over 20 years. He has two children, Steven and Rebecca. Adler currently resides in Mercer Island, Washington.
