Kawasaki was active as a model in the 1980s, working in the United States, Europe and Japan. In 1990 she married Mayo Kawasaki, a Japanese celebrity. However, she has been separated from her husband since pictures of his philandering were published in a paparazzi tabloid. Her claim to fame on Japanese television comes from her playing off the stereotypical American woman from the Japanese point of view in which they are thought of as loud, domineering, and materialistic. She has appeared in television shows such as Waratte Iitomo and Ninja Warrior among others.Caiya (born Carolyn Jo Higar) is a Japanese television personality, author, jewelry designer, and entrepreneur. Of German (father) and Native American (mother) decent, Caiya was born in German Valley, Illinois, the daughter of engineer and major, Richard Lee Higar and post master, Patricia Ann Higar. After high school Caiya was scouted in Chicago from Ilene Ford of Ford Modeling Agency where she moved to New York and from there traveled to Italy, Germany, France, and Japan working for major magazines, famous designers and well known photographers. Caiya was offered a job in Japan for a Suntory whiskey with actor, John Lone. She was also the face for Unichica swimwear. In 1990 she married Mayo Kawasaki , a Japanese actor. However, she has been separated from her husband since pictures of his philandering were published in a paparazzi tabloid. She has one daughter, Keito and one son, Zion. In 1993 following her tv appearance on Shiranuwa Otoko Bakarinari she started to be known for her character. She then had several regular programs along with many tv commercials. Among them, Waratte Iitomo. On June 18th, 2006 Caiya debuted as a pro-wrestler because of her love for the WWE divas. She had a match against Giant Silva and also Tajiri. Her famous moves were the "Caiya Bomber" and the "STC" (Space Tornado Caiya) OTHER PURSUITS. In 1999 Caiya released a cooking book, Caiya no Ai Ippai Cooking.In 2001 she released a English conversation book, Caiya no Eikaiwa Haato de tooku.In 2002 she released a beauty book, Caiya no Anti-Aging.In 2004 she released an interior book, Home Sweet Home Caiya.Also 2007, Caiya came out with her jewelry line, I Wish where the percentage of the proceedings go to charity for children.
