Lamprolia ".Though this beautiful bird looks superficially like a
bird of paradise , it is amonarch flycatcher . The Silktail is endemic to forests ofTaveuni andVanua Levu islands ofFiji . While still common on Taveuni, it is rare on Vanua Levu. The diet consists mainly of insects, worms andarthropods .Due to continuing habitat loss, limited range and declining population, the Silktail is evaluated as Near Threatened on the
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.References
