(2003)"War Zone" is the second album from Hip Hop group Black Moon, released almost six years after their influential debut "
Enta Da Stage ". The group began a lengthy legal battle withNervous Records in 1995 over the licensing of their name, which finally settled soon before the release of "War Zone". Though many of the albums released from theBoot Camp Clik family between 1997 and 1999 received mediocre reviews, "War Zone" garnered some strong acclaim and moderately strong sales. The album features the singles "Two Turntables & A Mic", "War Zone" and "This Is What It Sounds Like [Worldwind] ".MC 5ft, who only appeared on three tracks on their debut "
Enta Da Stage ", makes the most appearances of his career here, dropping in on six songs.Da Beatminerz production crew crafts a different sound for "War Zone" then that heard on "Enta Da Stage ", lacing the tracks with a futuristic, lo-fi sound. Although "War Zone" has its share of gritty and hardcore tracks (similarly found on "Enta Da Stage "), the majority of "War Zone" consists of songs talking about social and economic problems, as Buckshot displays a maturity unseen on "Enta Da Stage ".Track listing
