Jack Klaff is a South African-born actor, writer, director and academic.

Klaff has held four visiting professorships at Princeton University and was for four years Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Starlab in Brussels.

His TV credits include the role of Rawdon Crawley in the 1987 BBC series of Vanity Fair, Death is Part of the Process, Road Rage, Freddie and Max, Agatha Christie's Poirot, Sherlock Holmes and Midsomer Murders. His many radio performances have included the parts of Quasimodo, Oscar Wilde, The Sea Wolf and Roderick Spode. As a playwright and solo artist he has performed at the Edinburgh Festival and in venues around the world. Several of his dramas and one man shows have been broadcast on TV and radio including Nagging Doubt - based on his connection with South Africa, Kafka, Letters Alone and The 50 Minute Hour. His films include the original Star Wars movie, For Your Eyes Only, 1871, King David and Hotet -The Threat.
