page = 217] is currently a Judge on the Supreme Court of Missouri. He was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is the son of federal district judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Sr., and a cousin of prominent radio commentator Rush Limbaugh. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Southern Methodist University. He continued his studies in the law with an L.L.M. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Following a stint in private practice, he was elected as Prosecuting Attorney of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri at the age of 26 in 1978, serving one term before returning to private practice. From 1987 to 1992, he served as a Judge for the 32nd state Judicial Circuit, serving until his appointment to the state's highest court. From 2001 to 2003, he served one term as the state's Chief Justice. He currently lives in Cape Girardeau with his wife, the former Marsha M. Limbaugh. They have two grown sons. On December 7, 2007, President George W. Bush nominated Judge Limbaugh to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He was confirmed on June 10, 2008.
