Phil Dooley

Phil Dooley

Phil Dooley is a Pentecostal Christian pastor in the Assemblies of God. He is currently an executive pastor at Hillsong Church, and Lead Pastor of Hillsong Cape Town in South Africa. He is a former Director of Youth Alive New South Wales. Phil also holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Western Sydney.

Biography

In 1996, Phil was made the Youth Pastor at Hillsong Church, overseeing Hillsong United, the church's youth ministry. In 2007, he was appointed worship pastor, thus overseeing the Worship & Creative Arts department in Hillsong Church. In 2008 Reuben Morgan succeeded Dooley in worship pastor role, and Joel Houston became Creative Director.

Phil Dooley is married to Lucinda, who also pastors at Hillsong Church. Together with their three children, Abigail (Abbey), Isabella (Bella) and Zecheriah, they moved to Cape Town to plant the fourth Hillsong Church in Cape Town, South Africa in 2008.

The Hillsong Cape Town church has been going for just over 3 months, officially launched on 15 June 2008 and can easily expect more than 3000 congregants on a given Sunday.
