List of Star Wars Dark Jedi

List of Star Wars Dark Jedi

The following is a list of minor fictional "Star Wars" characters who are affiliated with the Dark Side of the Force.

Alora

A red Twi'lek female, Alora was apprentice to the Dark Jedi Tavion during the New Republic era. She fought the Jedi Jaden Korr while he was a Padawan and later on once he reached the rank of Jedi Knight, failing to defeat Jaden on both occasions. Her second meeting with Jaden led to her death by his/her hands after a fierce lightsaber duel between the two.

Alora was a powerful Dark Jedi who wielded two red lightsabers in combat. It should also be noted that she was powerful enough to infiltrate Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy undetected.

Boc Aseca

::"See List of minor Star Wars villains for more information."

A purple Twi-lek male, Boc served under Jerec and was characterised as being quite amused, and even excited when causing pain and suffering. He wields twin purple lightsabers in combat which makes him a formidable opponent. He was one of the first in the galaxy to wield twin purple lightsabers and he was a master in many forms of dueling, but he was cut down by Kyle Katarn during a fierce duel between the two in the Valley of the Jedi.

Tavion Axmis

Tavion was Desann's human apprentice. She first encountered Kyle Katarn on Artus Prime, where she pretended to kill Jan Ors, Katarn's friend and pilot. Katarn chased her to Bespin, where she confronted him at last. After a fierce saber duel, Katarn was the victor. He was about to kill her when she, frantically searching for a way to save herself, revealed that Jan was alive. Against his better judgement, Katarn let her go.

This proved to be a mistake however, when she returned in hopes of resurrecting a powerful Sith Lord, Marka Ragnos by using his scepter. She took an Twi'lek apprentice named Alora, and gathered together what was left of Desann's Reborn. She and her warriors infiltrated the Jedi Academy and stole valuable information. She also kidnapped a Jedi apprenitce, Rosh Penin. She and Rosh escaped to Bast Castle, but Katarn's new apprentice, Jaden Korr, arrived and fought Rosh. Seeing the battle was not going her way, Tavion brought the ceiling down and escaped once again with Rosh.

Jaden had not died, however, and continued pursuing the two, killing Alora and turning Rosh back to the Light Side in the process. Tavion had made it to Marka Ragnos's tomb on Korriban and was already conducting the ceremony to resurrect Marka Ragnos when Jaden arrived with a team of Jedi Knights to stop Tavion's mad schemes. Marka Ragnos's spirit had already entered Tavion's body when Jaden attacked her. After a huge battle between the Jedi and the Reborn (now called "The Disciples of Ragnos") Jaden destroyed Ragnos's scepter, which forced his spirit to leave Tavion's body, killing her.

Brakiss

Brakiss was an Imperial Spy, training as an Jedi Knight at Master Skywalker's Jedi Academy. His goal as a child was to learn the ways of the Light Side of the Force, and then to quit as a Jedi. Master Skywalker tried desperately to turn him to the Light Side, even if it meant confronting him. After quitting, Brakiss new goal as a young teen was to return to the Second Imperium and turn his training into Darkness. Skywalker failed, and Brakiss defeated him. Then he quit after dragging Luke's unconscious body into the woods by the neck, choking him to keep him unconscious. Brakiss thus the Second Imperium was created.

Brakiss has only appeared in Michael A Stackpole's I Jedi and the first volume of "Young Jedi Knights".

Desann is a Dark Jedi and the main villain of the computer game "".

Desann is a lizard-like humanoid of the Chistori species. Before joining Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy, the Chistori was haunted by loneliness, being shunned and feared by his fellow of the brotherhood, who did not fully understand the nature of the Force and regarded it as dangerous black magic.

Once in the Academy, Desann proved to be a very powerful and successful student. However, over time he was impatient, power hungry, condescending, aggressive, and even violent, especially in his arguments with instructors. During a training session he struck down and killed a fellow student, saying he was "too weak to be a Jedi." He then left before anyone could help him.

Months later, along with Admiral Galak Fyyar, he became leader of an Imperial Remnant faction seeking to regain control of the galaxy by creating an army of Force-adept warriors feeding on the energy of the Valley of the Jedi. Since only Kyle Katarn and his partner Jan Ors knew the location of the Valley of the Jedi, Desann and his dark apprentice Tavion decided to capture Jan Ors on Artus Prime in order to trick Kyle into revealing the location of the Valley.

The former Academy apprentice took a contingent of Imperial cohorts and captured Jan Ors. When Kyle Katarn arrived to free his partner, the Chistori confronted Katarn, who without the power of the Force was no match, allowing Desann to mock him.

Desann commanded Jan Ors' death as a ruse to motivate a now Force-insensitive Katarn to go to the Valley to reconnect with the Force. Kyle, believing that Jan was dead, traveled to the Valley in order to avenge her death. Desann followed Kyle, using him to discover the location of the Valley, which allowed Desann to create his army of Dark Jedi warriors, called Reborns, and Shadowtroopers by infusing the Force into Artusian crystals and using them on Imperial stormtroopers, giving them the ability to use the Force. When Kyle Katarn boarded the Lenico Belt cruiser, Luke Skywalker reported to him that the New Republic and Jedi Knights were trying to hold the Remnant and the Shadowtroopers at the Valley of the Jedi. Desaan engaged Luke Skywalker and wounded his former master.

Some time later, he attacked the Jedi Academy, but Katarn stopped him by destroying the "Doomgiver" (after having freed Jan) and thus most of his army. On Yavin 4, Jedi Knights and New Republic forces defeated his remaining Reborns and stormtroopers. Desann escaped into the tunnels under the Massassi Temple, where he was confronted by Katarn. Each tried unsuccessfully to convert the other to their side of the Force. A battle ensued in which Desann was slain.

Komari Vosa

An apprentice of the Jedi Master Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus) she then became the leader of the Bando Gora, a cult that sell death sticks. When she was a Jedi, she rebelled, killed 20 padawans, fled Coruscant and joined a group of rebel Jedi. Her first assignment was on Kohlma, a burial moon orbiting Bogden, attacking the Bando Gora. She was captured and her allies were killed. After being tortured she broke free, killed the leader of the Bando Gora and took control.

She was defeated on Kolhma by Jango Fett who was hired by Count Dooku. Dooku also hired many other bounty hunters including Montross, to find a subject for the cloning on Kamino. Jango won the race collected 5,000,000 credits and created an army that he would fight against at the battle of Geonosis, the battle that would start the clone wars.

Kun, Exar

Exar Kun was once a Jedi Knight of the old Republic over 3900 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. He was apprenticed to Vodo Siosk-Baas at the Jedi Academy on Dantooine. He finds his way to the planet Dxun, where he is seduced to the Dark Side by the newly-materialized form of Freedon Nadd. Shortly before Exar Kun destroys Nadd, Kun finds his way to Korriban, where he submits himself to complete and utter evil. Following the path and the history of the Dark Side, Kun establishes his base on Yavin IV, at the site of the old base of Naga Sadow, also where Kun destroys Nadd (for the second time).

Darth Plagueis

Darth Plagueis "the Wise" is mentioned in "" and appears in Star Wars Expanded Universe material. According to Palpatine, Darth Plagueis was a Sith Lord who discovered a way to manipulate midi-chlorians to prevent death. His apprentice later killed him in his sleep. The official Star Wars Databank characterizes Plagueis as Darth Sidious's master. It is speculated the fetus that would become Anakin Skywalker was created, in a slave woman known as Shmi Skywalker, by the Dark Lord. He hoped to use this creation as the "Perfect Sith" to help him finally destroy the Jedi Order, but this knowledge passed into history when he was killed by his current apprentice, Darth Sidious.

Xanatos

Xanatos was a dark Jedi and former apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn. He fell to the dark side when being given the final test which was to see the riches he gave up for the life of a Jedi after seeing Qui-Gon Jinn killing his father. He attempted several times to destroy the Jedi including mounting assassination and bomb plots. After a fight against a young Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon, he committed suicide by intentionally falling into a river of toxins that disintegrated him.

Yun

::"See List of minor Star Wars villains for more information."

Yun is the newest, youngest and most inexperienced Dark Jedi Knight in the game, "". Yun was very eager to learn and to apply his knowledge of the Force and his Force skills in combat. He is a skilled fencer and has almost learned to master the skill of Force jumping.

He was the first to be confronted and he humiliated Kyle Katarn by defeating him soundly. Yun brought a humbled Katarn to his knees and choked him unconscious, placing a foot on his head in victory. Yun was eventually picked up by his fellow Dark Jedi, but the memory of the experience and the lesson about mercy he learned marked him for the remainder of his short life. He later redeemed himself by saving Katarn's life at the price of his own.
