Asmankese is a town situated in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It has a population of approximately 34,000 people. It is on the main highway between the two biggest cities of Accra on the coast and Kumasi in the interior. It is the second capital Town of Eastern Region and it is the capital town of West Akim District.
