Farm to Market Road 802 or FM 802 is a farm to market route entirely within the city limits of Brownsville, Texas. It runs from US 281 to FM 511.

History

FM 802 was initially designated July 1948 from where it intersected U.S. Highways 77 and 83 eastward to its intersection with State Highway 48. Later that year, it was extended westward to where the road intersected U.S. Highway 281. In 1951 it was again extended, this time eastward to its intersection with F.M. 511. The original FM 802 followed Coffee Port Road through Brownsville since its designation, but was bypassed to the north in 1975. In 1995, it was technically transferred and renamed as Urban Road 802, although locals still call it FM 802.
