Alfred H. Love

Alfred Henry Love (1885 — 1913) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania founded the Universal Peace Union in Providence, Rhode Island in 1866 and served as its president until his death. In 1888 he was the Vice Presidential nominee of the National Equal Rights Party as the running mate of Belva Ann Lockwood.

In 1906 he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by eight United States Senators and Hannis Taylor. [ [http://nobelprize.org/peace/nomination/nomination.php?action=show&showid=224 Nomination database ] at nobelprize.org]
