Rick Rigsby

Dr. Rick Rigsby is a professor at Texas A&M University and travels the country as a motivational speaker. He is a former television news reporter at KHSL-TV Channel 12, a CBS affiliate in Chico, California.

As President of Rick Rigsby Communications and founder of Rick Rigsby Ministries, Dr. Rigsby speaks to audiences as diverse as congregations in the remote jungles of Africa, to executives for America’s top corporations. For the last two decades, Dr. Rigsby has served as a college professor — the last 14 years at Texas A&M University — where he continues to serve as chaplain for the Aggies football team. Dr. Rigsby has also held appointments with the Center for Executive Development in the College of Business, and the Program in Presidential Rhetoric, affiliated with the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M.

A two-time winner of Texas A&M’s prestigious Distinguished Teaching Award, Dr. Rigsby earned his Master’s degree from California State University, Chico, and his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. In 2000, his alma mater, California State University, Chico named him as its Distinguished Alumni of the Year.

In 2005, he appeared on a Billy Graham television special. And in March 2006, he returned to his old stomping grounds to be a guest speaker at the Evangelical Free Church in Chico, California, after originally being invited to speak at Chico State University.
