Seeclub Küsnacht

Seeclub Küsnacht (SCK) is a Swiss rowing club located on the eastern side of Lake Zurich in the municipalitity of Küsnacht. The club was founded in 1934 by Max Wettstein.

This rowing club probably has the oldest boathouse in the world, former wine pressing house (in German: "Trotte" ), mentioned first in 1290. Supporting beams of the building are oak and the oldest was cut down in the summer of 1320. Two other supports are from fall/winter 1335/36 and most other remaining beams are from spring 1336.

Membership is open to all, and currently numbers around 200 persons using about 42 rowing boats.

Seeclub Küsnacht has won several Swiss championships, participates regularly at world championships (Junior and Senior level) and strongly supports competitive rowing.
