Polti (1997-1998),Team Telekom (1998-2000),ONCE (2001-2003), CSC (2004),Liberty Seguros-Würth /Astana (2005-2006) andTinkoff Credit Systems in 2007.In 2004, he won the
Tour Mediterranean and theParis-Nice race.In the
2005 Tour de France , Jaksche was 16th overall, the best result of his six participations in the Tour. He had been 18th at the1998 Tour de France and 17th at the2003 Tour de France .At the 2006 Tour de Suisse, Jaksche finished on the podium with a third place finish.
Jaksche was one of the 9 riders held out of the
2006 Tour de France after being identified by investigators in theOperación Puerto investigation. On March 4th-15th, Jorg traveled to Lucca, Italy where he stayed with the owner of SRM and trained with the U23 USA National Team. Preben, a data analyist for SRM talked with Jorg and quoted him as saying, "Jorg has only one goal, to rip all of [the U23's legs off] ."
During these training rides, Jorg would ride 300 watts for five hours yet would not drink any water or eat any food. It is said that his body doesn't burn glycogen until he goes over threshold, that he's so efficient he can burn fat all day and hence the need not to eat any sugar to regain glycogen.
