Who Killed My Daughter?

Who Killed My Daughter?

"Who Killed My Daughter?" (Dell Publishing) is a 1992 non-fiction book by Lois Duncan. It is mainly about Duncan's search for her daughter's murderer. Kaitlyn Arquette (Duncan's daughter) was shot in the head twice on July 16, 1989 while coming home from a friend's house. The police believed the shooting to be random. Duncan conducted her own investigations, which included talking to her daughter's friends, and visiting a psychic. She does not believe the shooting was random. The crime remains unsolved.

Issues raised

  • Did someone confess to Arquette's murder?
  • Why does a case with so much evidence remain unsolved?
  • Why won't police return letters in evidence to Duncan?
  • Why did Juve Escobedo run off?
  • Where did the car go?
  • Why has new fingerprint technology not been used?
  • Have neighbors been questioned?

The plot of the last fiction novel Duncan published before her daughter's death, Don't Look Behind You, bears some similarities to the subsequent murder [http://www.realcrimes.com/kait/comments/comments.php?page=0&limit=20&search] .
